Longleys Private Hire didn’t become the favourite cab company in Canterbury by accident. We have an amazing team of people within the business that have the same Longleys passion for the community, and treat them like family.

What do we offer our drivers?

We provide you with a vehicle to work in when on shift, that is fully insured, fuelled and licensed. We pay to maintain it and even to clean it! Our circuit is completely equal, with fair job allocation to the nearest car.

All fares are split 60/40 in our favour, and you keep 100% of your tips. We never withhold account money from our drivers.

Our booking and despatch system gives our drivers 'one touch' sat nav, through our partnership with TomTom.

Our drivers are self-employed, and all applicants will need;

• A fun, helpful attitude to looking after customers and working as a team.
• A Full UK Driving Licence that has been held for two years.
• To obtain a Private Hire Badge from Canterbury City Council (01227 862549). This involves an enhanced CRB check and a medical. The cost of obtaining a badge is approximately £200.00.
• To successfully pass the Longleys interview and induction process. This will involve a driving assessment with a DSA instructor.
• To lodge a security deposit with us to drive a company vehicle.

Full training is provided.
