Why do you charge for waiting time?
A. In order to make sure you get your car on time, we are giving other callers a longer response time. This response time is based on you getting straight in the car and leaving. We understand that things don’t always go to plan, and so we build in some flexibility and can generally allow you to keep a driver waiting. However, we do have to charge you for it! The charge represents the drivers time, the cost of the vehicle and our missed opportunity to drive other customers in that time.
I booked a return journey with you, and the price was slightly different on the way back. What happened?
A. Our prices are calculated by the mileage the car travels. Sometimes the journey has to take a different route due to traffic restrictions, one-way systems etc. If you keep the driver waiting beyond the booked time, a charge will be added for waiting, which would affect the price. If you think a price has been calculated incorrectly, please ask the driver for the booking number and call us on 01227 710777. We can investigate and resolve any issues for you.
What is an ‘Out of Town' charge and how is it calculated?
A. Sometimes we have to drive out of our main operating area to collect you, to only take you a short distance. We don’t mind doing this, but if the journey is shorter than the distance away from the area, we’ll charge you as if the journey started at the edge of our operating area. We can provide an exact quote at the time of booking, so you’ll know if you want to go ahead.
